Week 6

This week, we drafting our final report, which requires a more holistic view of our building than working on the proposal did. This week, the building as a whole has really begun to come together. We looked at the energy usage of the appliances and systems we intend our library to have and working to stay within the bounds of the PassivHaus standard for yearly energy usage. We finalized water calculations and a final water-system diagram was drafted. We fully represented our draft floorpan in AutoCAD and added significant detail and optimization to the first floor:

We also began supplementary drawings and diagrams to visually represent our structural and systematic decisions, for example, a scaled wall section was begun:

Over the weekend, we plan to continue drafting the report, finalize all appliance selections, and progress the floorpan towards its conclusion. We also hope to integrate the solar power system selected into our layout drafts very soon.
