Week 1

This week we formed our team and we decided to design a sustainable library. We will deliver both a variety of 2D sketches and a 3D model for the building.  We plan to design a floor plan, a grey water collection system, an energy generation system, temperature modulation system, and intentional ventilation system that come together to form a net-zero energy library. We have identified heating, ventilation, water usage, and air conditioning as areas we need to research more in depth to assist our calculations. Specific areas of expertise we have or will shortly gain include Google SketchUp, AutoCAD, energy analysis, and air circulation analysis. We will demonstrate our library's sustainability by adhering to Passivhaus standards.
